About thermal windows

Have you ever sat on your lounge in winter with the heater on, but still need to reach for a blanket? Or do you find in Summer that once the air conditioner is turned off, the house floods with heat? Thermal windows offer an attractive solution to mitigate this temperature instability. The design is a polymide strip sandwiched in the aluminium frame, separating the external and internal elements thus reducing thermal transfer. This means the cold or heat stays out and the inside maintains a consistent temperature.

A thermal break is beneficial for the maintenance of any internal temperature. Untreated facades are responsible for more than 85% of summer’s heat transferring indoors (and almost half of the heat lost in winter), by significantly reducing the thermal transition from external to internal, thermally broken aluminium systems excel at keeping indoors cool, significantly reducing the need for air conditioning or heating. Meanwhile, in the summer sun a standard frame can become a frying pan – reaching 70 degrees to the touch and adding extra heat to your home. Treated aluminium solves this too, providing further insulation and UV and salt resistance.

Our engineering capabilities allow us to provide the largest panes possible for each system.
