Frequently Asked Questions

“Thermally broken” refers to a design feature where a layer or “break” between the external and internal components significantly slows the transfer of heat or cold—up to 1000 times slower. This means your home will stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter, leading to savings on heating and cooling costs. Additionally, our tilt and turn windows offer excellent sound insulation due to their full-sealing locking mechanism, effectively minimising outside noise.

A thermal break helps maintain a stable internal temperature by minimising the transfer of heat or cold between the outside and inside. While untreated facades let more than 85% of summer heat and nearly half of winter heat escape, thermally broken aluminium systems effectively keep interiors cool and reduce the need for excessive heating or cooling.

Additionally, thermally broken double-glazed windows address issues like indoor condensation and mold, which are common but outdated problems. By preventing condensation, these windows enhance indoor air quality and overall health, offering a significant improvement over older designs.
